🐝 CAT GROOMING — SAFETY FIRST

Your cat’s safety—and the safety of our grooming team—always comes first.

Cat grooming services are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Even cats who have been successfully groomed before can become frightened, stressed or overstimulated during an appointment. We continually evaluate your cat’s behavior and tolerance throughout the grooming process.

We reserve the right to stop or refuse a groom at any time if we believe continuing could compromise the safety or well-being of your cat or our grooming team. We will never force a cat through a groom simply to finish the service.

Cat bites and scratches can cause serious injuries and infections. For this reason, owners must disclose any known history of biting, scratching, aggression, difficult grooming behavior or previous grooming incidents before the appointment. Failure to disclose a known behavioral or bite history may result in termination of services, and the owner may be responsible for resulting costs or injuries to the extent permitted by applicable law.

When necessary, we may use appropriate safety and handling measures, including protective muzzles, paw/foot coverings and other professional feline-handling techniques. These precautions are used to help protect both your cat and the people caring for them.

Cats can also have underlying medical conditions that may not be apparent to either the owner or groomer. Bathing, water, dryers, clippers, unfamiliar sounds and handling can create stress and physiological changes in some cats. We therefore adjust our grooming approach according to the individual cat and stop when we believe continuing is no longer appropriate.

We also offer options for cats who need a little extra help. When appropriate, an owner may stay during the appointment if their presence helps keep their cat calm. For cats with significant grooming anxiety, we may recommend discussing veterinarian-prescribed pre-visit medication with your veterinarian. Medication should only be given as directed by your veterinarian.

If your cat cannot be safely groomed in a traditional grooming environment, we may recommend a veterinary grooming facility where veterinary professionals can determine whether sedation or other medical support is appropriate.

If a groom must be stopped for safety reasons, the owner remains responsible for the services performed and grooming time provided up to that point.

Safety Before Style. Always. 🐾💗
